Exercises

Organization

This page will be updated until the start of term and regularly during the semester. Important information:

  • The BCOLN lecture includes two parts of exercises, a theoretical part and a practical part (Challenge Task).
  • It is mandatory to hand in all exercises and the CT to obtain the exam bonus.
  • Exercises are helpful for CT preparation and for final exam preparation.
  • Exercises will not be corrected, just acknowledged.
  • Exercise classes will be used to discuss the exercise solutions.
  • We encourage students to solve the exercises on their own.
  • Please make sure that you are present for the second exercise session on the 29.02.2024, since the session serves for you to form the CT groups. Also, you need to be present for the final CT presentations, which will be held on the 23.05.2024.

Theoretical Exercises

The three theoretical exercises will be downloadable from OLAT from their respective hand-out date, as shown below.

Students must submit their solutions via OLAT up until the deadline. The solutions will be discussed in the next exercise sessions.

Handing in all exercises is mandatory to obtain the exam bonus and will be very useful for preparing the final exam. We encourage students to solve the exercises on their own and actively participate in the exercise discussions.
