Annually leading persons from industry meet at the Security of Things World (http://securityofthingsworld.com/en/) to explore and discuss issues around security, privacy, and connected devices. The goal is to explore security and the Internet of Things focusing on the next information security. Dr. Corinna Schmitt from CSG, IFI, UZH was the only invited academic participant at the meeting June 27-28, 2016 in Berlin. She received a participant grant by Infineon. The key themes covered at Security of Things World 2016 can be summarized as: Securing your cyber physical systems, expanding your IT Security, business continuity management, data privacy in an interconnected world, and security strategies.
