CSG provides native IPv6 connectivity to all IFI members which are physically connected to the VLANs 155 and 156. Find below the most important information in order to get access to the IPv6 network.
C:\>ipv6 install
$ modprobe ipv6
By default, your interface should be automatically configured with an IPv6 address and default gateway based on the prefix received from a router advertisement:
<not available yet>
Prefix: 2001:620:10:10c1::/64 Gateway: fe80::217:eff:fe87:e5e4
You should now be able to test your IPv6 connection with traceroute:
C:\>tracert6 2001:620:0:fff5::1 Tracing route to swiZH2-10GE-1-4.switch.ch [2001:620:0:fff5::1] from 2001:620:10:10c1:9d7b:2b7:e3e9:5f14 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 2001:620:10:10c1::1 2 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 2001:620:10:ffff::1 3 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms swiZH2-10GE-1-4.switch.ch [2001:620:0:fff5::1]
$ traceroute6 2001:620:0:fff5::1 traceroute to 2001:620:0:fff5::1 (2001:620:0:fff5::1) from 2001:620:10:10c1:9d7b:2b7:e3e9:5f14, 30 hops max, 16 byte packets 1 2001:620:10:10c1::1 (2001:620:10:10c1::1) 0.522 ms 0.497 ms 0.556 ms 2 2001:620:10:ffff::1 (2001:620:10:ffff::1) 0.312 ms 0.239 ms 0.228 ms 3 swiZH2-10GE-1-4.switch.ch (2001:620:0:fff5::1) 0.42 ms 0.3 ms 0.296 ms
